talking to the colleague who was from this section.. she suggested throwing everything into the miscellaneous file

got one supplier ask me..he wanted to get a pns.

i ask him go get one decent and budget one.

he said he wanted the biggest megalpix like 12mP

i ask him why he wanted that.

he said "the bigger MP, the less blur"

I nearly fainted.

but what is the minimum megapixel for a decent shot? At least if want to develop onto hard copy say 4R size.. ?

4R size, 1 megapixel also enough le.

I'll keep it aside for you then. I still have the original box, software, everything, including 2 1 GB cards which are more than enough. Its small, size of my palm.

the camera shop I go to has some nice framed wall sized prints, which they sometimes use to make a point about megapixel count being bullshit. all the photos were taken with 5 or less magapixel compacts.

i just tried my new cybershot 8.1mp, iso3200 pns..

not bad...but i am drooling over my colleagues new olympus1030

that one shockproof, and can go underwater!!!!!

I kinda didnt want a camera along on the trips because I am travelling alone. Its very pathetic to take pics of oneself with the scenery.

low light, use pump up ISO to help..

Yeah..... my old Fujifilm could take excellent pics at just 3.1megapixels.

You only need the extra MPs if you're going to print huge printouts or if you need some ultra-high resolution.

The industry standard for compact digicams seems to be about 7MPs these days. That oughta be more than enough for the average user.
